What is a Nanocoating? A nanocoating is synthesized using molecular engineering techniques to create a nano-structured polymer/coating. Nanovere's patent pending nano-structured polymer based nanocoatings provide extreme crosslink density with remarkable flexibility. Nanoparticles can be used as an "additive" in a coating to reinforce the polymer matrix, reduce UV degradation of the substrate, improve chemical resistance and change the coatings electrochemical properties. The technique of using nanoparticles to maximize the physical surface properties of a coating are limiting. Adding nanoparticles to a polymer matrix depend on the molecular structure of the polymer backbone, size and amount of nanoparticles added, particle dispersion throughout the coating, structure and functionality of the nanoparticles. Nanovere does not rely on the use of nanoparticles to improve the physical properties of coatings. Nanovere has developed a proprietary nano-structured polymer used in all Zyvere nanocoatings. This unique 3D polymer architecture offers unique physical properties. Tests prove that Zyvere nanocoatings have a dramatic improvement in scratch resistance and chemical resistance over all automotive clear coatings in the market today, including those utilizing nanoparticles. Why nanotechnology is unique? All consumer products are produced from some type of raw material. Raw materials are composed of particles, which are usually invisible to the naked eye. With recent advances in science using nanomaterials, chemical engineers are now able to manufacture extraordinary nano-materials using raw materials like metals, resins and ceramics, but engineering them at the atomic level. Engineering and altering materials at the atomic level (atom-by-atom assembly) can produce materials that are much stronger, lighter, harder and more scratch resistant than their parent material. Zyvere Nanocoatings core nanomaterials are 7-10 nanometers in diameter and exhibit revolutionary scratch resistance, surface hardness, flexibility, self-cleaning properties, corrosion resistance and hydrophobicity. These particles are millions of times smaller than conventional coating materials. »
